SUBJECT:title
A Traffic Study for two-way STOP or YIELD signage on Andover Drive approaching Middlebury Lane. Ward 9; Alderman Bugg
body
PURPOSE:
To determine the appropriateness for two-way STOP or YIELD signage on Andover Drive approaching Middlebury Lane.
BACKGROUND:
A resident sent an E-Mail expressing their concern for the necessity for two-way STOP or YIELD signage on Andover Drive approaching Middlebury Lane.
DISCUSSION:
The intersection of Andover Drive and Middlebury Lane is not marked by STOP or YIELD signage. By viewing the attached photos, it would seem logical to install two-way signage on both approaches of Andover Drive onto Middlebury Lane. The more heavily traveled West-bound approach of Andover would suggest the installation of two-way STOP signage on both the East-bound and West-bound approaches of Andover Drive.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The installation would require funding be allocated to the Operations Department.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends the installation of two-way STOP signage on Andover Drive/Court approaching Middlebury Drive.
