SUBJECT:
A Resolution Reappointing Donald Pilmer as an At-Large member and Mike Reynolds as the Aurora Township representative and appointing Ivan Chambers as the Fox Valley Park District Representative to the Aurora Planning Commission.

PURPOSE:
The purpose of this memo is to recommend the reappointments of two (2) members and the appointment of one (1) new member to the Aurora Planning Commission.

DISCUSSION:
The Aurora Planning Commission is a thirteen (13) member commission comprised of At-Large Citizens and representatives of the following entities: Fox Valley Park District, Aurora Township, School Districts 129, 131 and 204 and the Sanitary District. There are currently expired terms on the Commission, the members are all in good standing and wish to continue to serve. In addition, the Fox Valley Park District has recommended a candidate to replace Laurie Hoffman, who resigned last year.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council approve the reappointments of Donald Pilmer, Mike Reynolds and Ivan Chambers to the Aurora Planning Commission.

WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has a population of more than 25,000 persons and is, therefore, a home rule unit under subsection (a) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and

WHEREAS, subject to said Section, a home rule unit may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs for the protection of the public health, safety, morals, and welfare; and
