SUBJECT:title
A Parking Study in the 400 block of Plum Street for the installation of Handicap Parking.  Ward 6, Alderman Saville
body
PURPOSE:
To determine the viability of a Handicap Parking Space in front of the residential duplex at 446-448 Plum Street.

BACKGROUND:
A resident submitted ACR Case ID 96295 desiring one Handicap Parking Space with signage and blue curb markings in front of the residential duplex at 446-448 Plum Street.

DISCUSSION:
Per City practice, on street handicap parking in residential areas is limited to units without driveways or multi-family units with questionable accessibility.   In this case the multi family unit has two driveways.   There is a driveway with an accessible ramp.  The owner of the property should designate this area as handicap only.
