SUBJECT:
A Resolution Authorizing Execution of Labor Agreement Between the City of Aurora and Metropolitan Alliance of Police (MAP), Aurora Information Technology Chapter #525 (Union), for the period of January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2027.
PURPOSE:
To obtain authorization to execute a labor agreement between the City of Aurora and Metropolitan Alliance of Police (MAP), Aurora Information Technology Chapter #525 (Union).
BACKGROUND:
The labor agreement is the first collective bargaining agreement between the City and the Union, formally recognizing the bargaining unit and establishing the terms and conditions of employment for all covered employees, which include the following: All full-time employees employed by the Information Technology Department in the following titles: Data Engineer, System Analyst I, System Analyst II, GIS Analyst, GIS Analyst II, GIS Analyst Specialist, GIS Project Analyst, Telecom Engineer, Support Desk Engineer I, Network Engineer I, Network Engineer II, Network Engineer III, Data Analyst I, Data Analyst II, and PMO Administrator. Negotiations began in August 2024.
DISCUSSION:
Highlights of negotiated terms include a 3.5% wage increase for 2024, and a 4% wage increase for 2025, 2026, and 2027.
Beginning with the effective date of this Agreement, employees assigned to standby duty will receive the following weekly standby pay:
? 2025 - $100 per week
? 2026 - $175 per week
? 2027 - $225 per week
