The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is requesting permission for a portion of their Bike MS Tour de Farms event to run through Aurora on Sunday, June 24, 2018.

PURPOSE:
Bike MS Tour de Farms is a fundraiser for research, programs and services for those living with MS.
BACKGROUND:
This is the first year the event has gone through the City of Aurora.
DISCUSSION:
The organizers have consulted with the APD Traffic Division. APD made several changes to the initial route for safety reasons.
The event will go through Aurora on the far west side on one leg of the ride, and again through the southeast and southwest side.
A turn by turn route map and EAP are attached. The COI is pending.
Organizers are responsible for all costs associated with this event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
APD Traffic Division is determining the number of locations where officers will need to be present.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
