body
PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Superior Street between N. Kendall Street and N. Loucks Street to determine warrants for parking restrictions.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 129358 expressing concerns about parking conditions on Superior Street in the 1200 block between N. Kendall Street and N. Loucks Street.
DISCUSSION:
Superior Street has the standard city street width of 29.5-ft. The roadway is classified as Residential, with a 25 mph speed limit. Both ends of the block have STOP signage for Superior Street. The roadway has standard curb and gutter, and the pavement is in good shape.
There is a healthy parking demand by the neighbors in this block. While City Ordinance allows a consideration of removal of parking, it is recommended that the removal of parking be done only by petition of residents of the block.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No action, no impact.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends remit to resident for petion.
