East High Homecoming Parade October 9, 2013 from 3pm to 5pm.

PURPOSE:
The school will conduct the parade for their football game later in the week. The parade will begin at the high school on Fifth Avenue and go east to Smith Blvd., north on Smith Blvd. to Fourth Ave. to Union St., south on Union St. to Fifth Ave., back to the high school.
BACKGROUND:
EAHS has used this parade route since at least 2011.
DISCUSSION:
City services requested include an Aurora Police Department (APD) squad car to lead the parade and Officers/Cadets as deemed necessary by the APD.
Streets Maintenance delivery of barricades and signage as deemed necessary by Streets Maintenance to block entrance to the route from side streets during the parade, and "no parking" signs placed along the route.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The impact of the parade is minimal to the city and the neighborhood.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
