PURPOSE:
A Traffic Study for W. Indian Trail and Robert Street and the area near St. Rita School regarding NO CELL PHONE USE signage.
BACKGROUND:
Principal Elizabeth Faxon of St. Rita of Cascia School submitted an E-mail (8/3/15) requesting NO CELL PHONE USE signage surrounding the school grounds.
DISCUSSION:
Staff is recommending to no longer install the "No Cell' use signs in schools areas. The signs currently in installed were placed before cell phone use was restricted at all time. To install in school areas would give conflicting information with regards to the totality for cell phone restrictions.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No impact based on no action.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends denial.
