SUBJECT:
A Resolution authorizing the appointment of new a member to the Retiree Health Insurance Trust Fund Board.

DISCUSSION:
The City of Aurora Retiree Health Insurance Trust Fund Board exists to support the provision of medical and dental benefits to the city's retirees and their families.

The nomination brought forth today represents a retiree, Dan Hoffman who worked with the City of Aurora Police Department. Members of this board are typically elected from the body of eligible retirees, but after two solicitations no interested parties stepped forward. The bylaws for this body stipulate the Mayor may appoint a member to the board to fill the vacancy, hence Mr. Hoffman's nomination.

Mr. Hoffman is a non-resident, there is no residency requirement for this board.
