A Traffic Study for N. Randall Road, 1300 block. Wards 5 & 6, Alderman Peters and Saville

PURPOSE:
To submit a traffic study defining how many tractor-trailer trucks typically are travelling Randall Road between Sullivan Road and W. Indian Trail.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted a letter to the Mayor expressing concern for overweight truck traffic on Randall Road between Sullivan Road and W. Indian Trail.
DISCUSSION:
A Traffic Study found that about 32 to 37 tractor-trailer trucks went down the Randall roadway on a typical weekday, representing 0.2% of the total vehicular traffic. The Study also found a typical ADT of about 12,400 vehicles per day. Speeds for all vehicles were found to be 36 mph, with an 85th percentile speed of 41 mph. Posted Speed Limit is 35 mph.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
