PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Best Place and Linda Court to determine the need for further parking restrictions.
BACKGROUND:
A resident submitted PS # 3566637 expressing concern for free flow of emergency vehicles through Best Place and Linda Court. Resident was concerned that allowing parking on both sides of Best Place and Linda Court would impede the free flow of Fire Trucks.
DISCUSSION:
Best Place and Linda Court are classified as residential roadways, with a 25 mph speed limit. Both roadways are approximately 36 feet wide. Parking is in short supply in this area, yet the north side of Best Place is signed No Parking This Side since January 2000.
Past discussions with the Aurora Fire Department representatives revealed no significant problem with parking on both sides for streets 36 feet wide.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff does not recommend restrictions to existing parking.
