Three Fires Council Foxfire District is requesting permission to hold its annual Cub Scout Day Camp at Phillips Park, July 16 to July 22, 2017 from 7:00am to 6:00pm daily.

PURPOSE:
The camp promotes Cub Scout and Boy Scout programs to youth in the Aurora area.
BACKGROUND:
The Three Fires Council has conducted the day camp for the past 15 years. There were 150 participants in 2016.
DISCUSSION:
Three Fires Council Boy Scouts are proposing to conduct a week long day camp at Phillips Park. They are expecting 130-150 participants along with 30 staff/volunteers to assist with the camp.
The camp will proceed rain or shine. In the event of severe weather it will be canceled or delayed at the discretion of camp administration.
A COI from Three Fires Council has been received.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Three Fires Council is responsible for all costs associated with this event. They are requesting the Parks Division allow them the use of all park areas they have used in previous years to hold the day camp and are working with Park staff on logistics.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
