Aurora Downtown is requesting permission to stage Egg Hunt on the Island, downtown on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

PURPOSE:
To bring families downtown to support downtown businesses and enjoy a free, fun, family day in downtown Aurora.
BACKGROUND:
This is the second year for this event, this year they are asking to utilize both Water Street Mall and Tivoli Plaza in addition to other areas downtown.
DISCUSSION:
Organizers are expecting to draw 500 people to the event and will utilize 20 staff/volunteers. This is a rain or shine event. Aurora Downtown applied for and received a NFF Grant from the City.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
There are no City services requested or required.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
