SUBJECT:
A Resolution Amending Resolution #15-082 dated April 14, 2015 for the 2015 Ward Neighborhood Cleanups and Shred Events to add Ward 5 for the City of Aurora.

PURPOSE:
To obtain the City Council's approval to amend the 2015 Ward Neighborhood Cleanups and Shred Events

BACKGROUND:
These cleanup programs have been done in the past with great success. The events this year are scheduled to run beginning in May and continuing through October. Each individual Alderman, with staff's assistance, plan and manage their own cleanup and/or shred event, determine the dates and the method of to be used.

DISCUSSION:
The Ward Neighborhood Cleanup and Shred It Events are scheduled to continue in 2015, based on available funds and rotating schedules. Various vendors will be contacted to provide disposal services and the costs will be determined by the amount of debris hauled away and in the case of the shred-it event, quotes will be sought:

Funds are available in the accounts (311)(312)(313)(314)(315)(317)(318)(319) and (320)-1727-424-36.10.

IMPACT STATEMENT:
Only the residents living in the hosting ward are able to participate in that ward's event, and if a location is to be blocked, cones will be put in position and removed at the end of event

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Approve the Resolution to amend the 2015 Ward Neighborhood Cleanups and Shred Events.
