SUBJECT:
An Ordinance Providing for the Execution of an Easement Agreement between the City of Aurora and the NICOR Gas Company, for the property located at 320 South River Street (City of Aurora / NICOR Gas Company - 19-0548 - AU21/4-19.097-DED/E - SB - Ward 4)
PURPOSE:
The City of Aurora is requesting approval of an Easement Agreement between the City of Aurora and the NICOR Gas Company for an easement on the property located at 320 South River Street, to allow for a traffic signal combustion mast arm on this property.
BACKGROUND:
The subject property is owned by the NICOR Gas Company, and is located at the southeast corner of South River Street and North Avenue. The property is approximately 1.06 acres in size and is an industrial site.
The proposed easement agreement would allow for an approximately twenty-five (25) square foot area by the sidewalk for the proposed utilities.
DISCUSSION:
Staff has reviewed the Easement Agreement petition and have determined that it meets the applicable codes and ordinances.
IMPACT STATEMENT :
The Zoning Division would anticipate that this project will increase the City's overall tax base and viability by facilitating investment and development, which will offset any incidental Department or Staffing impacts, enhancing the city's infrastructure and improving services to its residents.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends APPROVAL of an Ordinance Providing for the Execution of an Easement Agreement between the City of Aurora and the NICOR Gas Company, for the property located at 320 South River Street.
