A Traffic Study on Cumberland Road for the installation of a Handicap Parking. Ward 7, Alderman Hart-Burns
body
PURPOSE:
To study the need for a Handicap Parking at 1745 Cumberland Road.
BACKGROUND:
A resident submitted an ACR Case ID 90638 requesting Handicap Parking be established in front of their house. The caller stated a resident has "herniated discs and three bone fusions in spine," and that a Handicap Parking Zone in front of their house would "allow better access to enter home."
DISCUSSION:
An inspection of the house revealed a two-car garage with a two-car driveway. On the curb in front of the residence, there is an overhanging tree which blocks most of the parkway. Per standard review policy, there are no special circumstances that would require on street handicap signage.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No action recommended.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends deniall
