PURPOSE:
The Fox Valley Park District is asking permission to use two City locations for its recreational special event.
BACKGROUND:
The Fox Valley Park District has held the race for the past 5 years. This is the first year that Youth & Senior Services is presenting the proposed event to the GO Committee. Each team is comprised of 4 adults who will drive to each pit stop location and the race theme is modeled after the famous TV show.
DISCUSSION:
The Fox Valley Park District is responsible for all costs associated with holding this event. Fox Valley Park District staff will attend the Government Operations Committee meeting to give more details on the race.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Fox Valley Park District is requesting use of the grass area outside of Fire Station #8 at 3770 McCoy Drive and the Phillips Park Zoo. The City Risk Management will send a waiver to the Fox Valley Park District for all participants to sign prior to the race and the completed waivers will be scanned and sent to the City.

Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for consideration.
