Requesting approval for the 1100 block of Timberlake Drive to be dedicated to Dr. A.A. Khawaja on Friday, May 18th, 2018.

PURPOSE:
To honor Dr. Khawaja for his many years of service to his patients and faith community.
BACKGROUND:
Dr. Khawaja is a cardiologist has been in practice in Aurora for 51 years. In 1995 he and his family established the Fox Valley Muslim Community Center.
DISCUSSION:
Members of the community, health care workers, family members and members of the Fox Valley Muslim Community Center are honoring Dr. Khawaja for his many years of service and dedication. The Community Center is directly adjacent to the ceremony location.
The petitioner is responsible for all signage costs.

IMPACT STATEMENT:
Street Department Sign Shop will create and install the street signs and deliver barricades to close Timberlake at Indian Trail. Special Events will coordinate the logistics for the ceremony.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed street dedication be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
