Requesting permission for Digity Media LLC to stage the first Cock-A-Doodle Brew Festival on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at 201 N. River Street.

PURPOSE:
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness for the radio stations, promote downtown Aurora and as a fundraiser for Operation Support our Troops.
BACKGROUND:
This is a first time event for Digity Media. They have hired Lou Dog Productions to assist in producing the event. LDP has extensive experience in producing brew festivals and has done many throughout the Chicagoland area.
Expected attendance is estimated at around 1,300.
DISCUSSION:
Currently there are no other events like this in Aurora and will bring in patrons from surrounding communities that may not normally visit downtown.
Digity Media is still working out several details as you can see from the application. We will monitor their progress up until the festival date (acts, fencing company, layout, etc.).
Once permission is granted a Certificate of Insurance will be issued.

City services requested at this time are:
Use of lots A & W for attendee parking
Barricades dropped off to block off the casino and Y lots on Friday, October 9
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
