Steck Elementary School PTA Fun Run, Saturday September 24, 2016 from 9:00am to 10:00am.

PURPOSE:
The Steck Elementary School PTA is requesting permission to conduct its annual Fun Run as a school fundraiser.
BACKGROUND:
This is the 7th year that Steck planning to hold this proposed event. Last year over 600 people participated in the event at the school and surrounding neighborhood.
DISCUSSION:
This year, Steck is expecting 600 people to participate again and have 30 staff/volunteers to help with the proposed event. Part of the route for the fun run is on Fox Valley Park District property and will require permission form them too. Steck is responsible for all costs associated with this proposed event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Services will be needed from the Aurora Police Department's Traffic Control Division for safe passage for participants through several street intersections.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for approval.
