PURPOSE:
Carson and Barnes Circus has submitted an application for a Circus License for a circus they are planning for Westfield Fox Valley Mall on August 16, 17, and 18, 2013.
BACKGROUND:

DISCUSSION:
This would be the second visit to Aurora by the Carson and Barnes Circus. The application was submitted too late to be considered in a timely manner. If it is the desire of the City Council, this matter can be considered by the Government Operations Committee at their special meeting on July 30, 2013, followed by placing this item on the agenda for the C.O.W. Meeting to be held on August 6, 2013 (assuming a favorable recommendation received by this committee)
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Circus will have to hire two officers for each hour of the circus.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is my recommendation that this item be referred to the Government Operations Committee for their special meeting on July 30, 2013 to be following in the manner that the committee decides.
