Three Fires Council Boy Scouts Foxfire District Cub Scout Day Camp, June 24 to June 30, 2018 at Phillips Park from 7:30am to 4:00pm daily.

PURPOSE:
The Three Fires Council Boy Scouts Foxfire District is asking permission to hold its annual Cub Scout Day Camp to promote the Boy Scouts of America Cub Scout programs and support Three Fires Council activities.
BACKGROUND:
The Three Fires Council Boy Scouts Foxfire District has held its annual Cub Scout Day Camp for at least the past 15 years. There were 130 participants in 2017.
DISCUSSION:
The Three Fires Council Boy Scouts Foxfire District is expecting 150 participants in its 2018 Cub Scout Day Camp and over 30 staff/volunteers to help. The Cub Scout Day Camp provides a variety of learning activities in its BB Program and Archery Range that includes a heavy emphasis on safety and use of proper techniques. The Three Fires Council Boy Scouts are responsible for all costs associated with holding this proposed day camp.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
City services are requested from the Parks & Recreation Division for use of the grass area east of the skate park, including the round pavilion.

Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for review/approval.
