Requesting approval for the issuance of a Carnival License and a Music Festival permit to Our Lady of Mercy Church / Alpine Amusement Company, Inc. as part of their Mercy Fest event held on October 4th, 2018 through October 7th, 2018.
PURPOSE:
Our Lady of Mercy Church / Alpine Amusement Company, Inc. have applied for Carnival license to be held at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Thursday, October 4, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Friday, October 5, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Sunday, October 7, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
and a Music Festival permit on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Sunday, October 7, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
BACKGROUND:
This yearly event will include Music groups, food and games. Our Lady of Mercy Church has been holding this event for at least a decade.
DISCUSSION:
The Applicant has provided the required documentation for the Music Festival permit and are currently still working on obtaining the additional requirements for the Carnival Application
The applicant will be submitting the required Health Department permit, Food and Beverage registration, List of Carnival Workers, Accident Report, Carnival Insurance and the Assembly Operational Permit form prior to the approval by the City Council.
City Staff (Fire Prevention, Police Department, Law Department and the City Clerk's Office) will work closely with them to ensure all requirements are met prior to the issuance of a license.
