PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Blackburn Court, specifically the island in the Court curve-around area.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 124405 requesting parking prohibitions for anywhere on the Court island curb.
DISCUSSION:
The diameter of the court circle is an ample 89-ft. The roadway around the island is about 29.5-ft. Looking at the LOCATION map, a black car appears parked head-in on the entrance side of the island, this parking behavior is already against the City Ordinance but has not been consistently enforced.
The type of restrictions was discussed with operations and a preference for long term maintenance was given toward signage rather than yellow curbing.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations would be responsible for installing signage.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends No Parking on Island sign to be installed.
