PURPOSE:
A Traffic Study for Liberty Street in the 700 block to determine warrants for traffic calming due to speed.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 138479 requesting a check on Liberty Street speeds.

The Liberty Street roadway is the standard width of 29.5-ft, and has the residential speed of 25 mph for a residential roadway. Traffic studies revealed an ADT of about 1,500 vph, with a mean speed of 23 mph, an 85th percentile speed of 29 mph, and a median speed of 24 mph. Road surface is in good condition with curb and gutter on both sides. Both ends of the 700 block of Liberty Street end with 4-way Stop intersections.
