SUBJECT:
A Resolution appointing James Armbruster and Scott Fank and reappointing William Rudigier and Ed Bonifas to the Aurora Municipal Airport Advisory Board.

PURPOSE:
The purpose of this memo is to appoint James Armbruster and Scott Fank and reappoint William Rudigier and Ed Bonifas to the Aurora Municipal Airport Advisory Board.

DISCUSSION:
The Aurora Municipal Airport Advisory Board is a thirteen (13) member board made up of representatives appointed by the Mayor and Aurora City Council, the Kane County Board Chair, the Village of Sugar Grove, the Sugar Grove Township and the Sugar Grove Fire Protection District. The board is tasked with making recommendations regarding potential sources of revenue, facilities and services and the general welfare of the airport to name a few.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the City Council approve the appointments of James Armbruster and Scott Fank and the reappointments of William Rudigier and Ed Bonifas to the Aurora Municipal Airport Advisory Board.

WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has a population of more than 25,000 persons and is, therefore, a home rule unit under subsection (a) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and

WHEREAS, subject to said Section, a home rule unit may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs for the protection of the public health, safety, morals, and welfare; and

WHEREAS, there are vacancies and expired terms on said board; and

WHEREAS, it is the Mayor's desire that said candidates be appointed and reappointed.
