New England Church is requesting permission to close Chestnut for their Fall Picnic on September 13, 2015 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

PURPOSE:
New England Church is requesting street closure for the safety of the parishioners and guests to their Fall Church Picnic.
BACKGROUND:
This event has been held for 10+ years. Rain policy is to move the event indoors.
DISCUSSION:
Street closure is requested from Galena onto Chestnut and at 19 S. Chestnut, which is halfway to Downer Place.
There are no direct City costs associated with this event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Support services requested from the Street Department are:
4 Class one barricades to be delivered on Friday, September 11 and picked up on Monday, September 14.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed street closure by forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
