PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for S. Edgelawn Drive in the 100 block to determine the warrants for No Parking regulation.
BACKGROUND:
A resident submitted PS # 2795591 requesting No Parking signage in the 100 block of S. Edgelawn Drive, complaining about a residential social event where vehicles were parked on the northbound side.
DISCUSSION:
S. Edgelawn Drive is classified as a Major Collector with a 2015 ADT of about 6,000 vpd. Speed Limit for this four-lane roadway is 30 mph. In the 100 block of S. Edgelawn Drive, parking signage is not present. The stretch of S. Edgelawn Drive between Garfield Avenue and Kensington Place is about 1,259 ft.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No impact.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff is not aware of a history of on street parking being an issue for this section of S. Edgelawn Drive and does not recommend the addition of parking restrictions.
