SUBJECT: 2019 Vehicle Replacement Purchases
PURPOSE:
To obtain authorization to purchase nine (9) replacement vehicles for the City of Aurora Fleet.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Aurora participates in the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative for the purchase of replacement and additional vehicles. This program bids vehicles for purchase allowing the City to forego the bidding process.
DISCUSSION:
I am requesting authority to purchase nine (9) vehicles that are approved for replacement in the 2019 City of Aurora budget in an amount not to exceed $254,000.00.
A detailed list of replacement vehicles, departments, divisions, and accounts is attached. All of the vehicles listed on the attached spreadsheet are available through the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative and will be purchased from the following accounts:

IMPACT STATEMENT:
The purchase of nine (9) new vehicles will reduce the maintenance and repair costs for the respective divisions and improve the reliability of the fleet.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
That the City Council adopts a resolution authorizing the purchase of nine (9) replacement vehicles not to exceed $254,000.00 from the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative.
