SUBJECT:title
A Traffic Study on Monomoy Street to eliminate five parking spaces.  Ward 6, Alderman Saville
body
PURPOSE:
To consider the possibility of eliminating five parking spaces on the south side of Monomoy starting at N. Randall Road.

BACKGROUND:
The Aurora Police Department requested the G.O. Committee to investigate the elimination of five parking spaces on the south side of Monomoy Street starting at N. Randall Road and ending at what is called Adams Court, the first turn-in on the south side of Monomoy.

DISCUSSION:
Parking is scarce in the Randall West Subdivision on Monomoy Street, but the APD believes the benefits to safety would outweigh the loss of these five spaces.  The request is to restrict the section of parking on the south side of Monomoy Street from N. Randall Road to Adams Court and be designated NO PARKING.

IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations will be required to install 'No Parkign Signage.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends installing NO PARKING and TOW ZONE signage restrictions.
