SUBJECT:
Resolution approving a change order for the Highland and Sullivan Roundabout with Geneva Construction for $34,204.99

PURPOSE:
To obtain approval of a change order for the Highland and Sullivan Roundabout with Geneva Construction for $34,204.99

BACKGROUND:
In fall of 2016 the City approved a contract with Geneva Construction in the amount of $527,218.68 for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Highland Drive and Sullivan Road.

DISCUSSION:
During the course of construction, a significant amount of contaminated soils were found in the Sullivan Road right of way. The discovery of the contaminated soil necessitated removal, special disposal, and additional backfill. The final amount due given the additional work was $561,423.67. The total amount of this additional work required a change order of $34,204.99. The following funds will be utilized:
