PURPOSE:
To approve the reduction of the Developer's Subdivision Bond for
Stonegate West Unit 8.
BACKGROUND:
The Subdivision Control Ordinance, provides the City Engineer with the option to reduce the developers security to a level not lower than 20% of the original security amount, for work that has been completed, inspected, tested and approved, based on a request from the developer that is supported by a Professional Engineers certification, and our departments review and approval.
DISCUSSION:
The developer for this project has provided a signed and sealed, professional engineers cost estimate, detailing the additional work that has been completed for this project. This cost estimate has been reviewed and confirmed correct by the engineering division and our field consultants who have used field data to verify the cost estimates certifications.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The impact of this resolution will be to lower the value of the developers overall security while maintaining minimal security values to insure completion of any remaining public improvements at the sole risk of the developer.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Approve the reduction of the Developer's Subdivision Bond to the amount of
$ 231,987.73
