PURPOSE:
A Traffic Study for a Pedestrian Crossing on Spinnaker Drive just east of Coastal Drive.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted PS # 2012892 requesting a Pedestrian Cross-Walk on Spinnaker Drive just east of Coastal Drive.
DISCUSSION:
There is no marked crosswalks or cross-walk signage at the intersection of Spinnaker Drive and Coastal Drive. There is no Stop signage at this "T" intersection of Coastal Drive which "T"s into Spinnaker Drive. A paved bicycle path crosses Spinnaker Drive from Wheatland Park on the south to a connecting path on the north.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations would be responsible for the installation of cross-walk markings and signage.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends installing a marked multiuse path cross-walk with crossing ahead signage on Spinnaker Drive.
