The Advocate Dreyer Fox Valley Marathon, from St. Charles to Aurora and Back, on the West River Trail, Turnaround Before West Park Ave, on Sunday September 18, 2016 from 7:45am to 11:00am.

PURPOSE:
The Fox Valley Marathon/SheBix Inc., are requesting permission to hold its annual Fox Valley Marathon to promote fitness, the Fox Valley area, local charities, and business.
BACKGROUND:
The Fox Valley Marathon/SheBix Inc., has held this annual event for the past 6 years. Over 1800 people participated in the 2015 event.
DISCUSSION:
The Fox Valley Marathon/SheBix, Inc., is responsible for all costs associated with holding this proposed event, and is expecting 1900 people to participate this year and. 25 staff/volunteers to help with the event. The participants will need to cross over Illinois Ave twice.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The organizers will need services from the Aurora Police Department Traffic Control Division.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for approval.
