PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Jericho Road in the 1000-1100 block to determine the need for possible parking restrictions.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 128282 concerned that parking on both sides of the street was harming grass in the public parkway from 1014 to 1110.
DISCUSSION:
Jericho Road has no curb and gutter. The roadway has no sidewalk on either side. The roadway is marked with either a double-yellow centerline or a dashed centerline. Jericho Road is classified by a Major Collector with a 30 mph Speed Limit.
City Ordinance does not allow for parking in the unimproved areas in question.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations will be responsible for installing NO PARKING signage on both sides of Jericho Road from 1014 to 1110.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends installation of NO PARKING ANYTIME signage on both sides of Jericho Road from 1014 to 1110.
