PURPOSE:
To respond to a request for a special PICK-UP/DROP-OFF ZONE Parking Space in front of Rueland's Restaurant at 115 Oak Avenue, to be effective for a limited daily time, from 11AM TO 2PM.
BACKGROUND:
Jeff Rueland phoned Alderman Saville requesting one Parking Space in front of his restaurant at 115 Oak Avenue be reserved for a 11AM TO 2PM PICK-UP/DROP-OFF ZONE Parking Space.
DISCUSSION:
In general, loading zones of this type should be issued for a special situation. It is recommended that if a pick-up short term parking space is required it should be provided in the existing parking lot.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No impact per recommendation.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends denial, such parking should be provided on site.
