SUBJECT:title

Batavia Container is requesting permission to stage Haunts for Hope on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at Tivoli Plaza.

PURPOSE:

This is the second year for this event.  Batavia Container donates all proceeds to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

 

BACKGROUND:

The Sales Director has a personal connection to St. Jude's.  This is an invitation only event to the client base of Batavia Container.  Anticipated attendance during the course of the event is 600-700.   

 

DISCUSSION:

The organizers are working closely with both Ballydoyle and Basement of the Dead. Ballydoyle will again serve the food and beverage and Basement of the Dead will give private tours of the facility.  The main portion of the event is in Tivoli Plaza where the music, food, beverage and pumpkin raffle will take place. 
A Certificate of Insurance has been received and a Music Festival Permit has been applied for.

Patrons will be directed to park in Lot A or W.

Event organizers rent fencing to secure the area.  This assures all beverages stay within the event location. 

 

 

IMPACT STATEMENT:

There are no City services required for this event.

 

RECOMMENDATIONS:

 I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
