A Parking Study for Autumn Lane. Ward 1, Alderman Bohman.
body
PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Autumn Lane to determine the need for more parking restrictions.
BACKGROUND:
A resident submitted PS # 3444729 expressing concern for traffic flow on Autumn Lane. Resident was concerned that allowing parking on both sides of Autumn Lane makes getting in and out of their driveways difficult.
DISCUSSION:
Autumn Lane is classified as a residential roadway, with a 25 mph speed limit. It has the city standard 29.5' width.
The city standard width is designed to accommodate normal residential traffic as well as emergency vehicles. On-site observations did not reveal any significant problem with parking on both sides of Autumn Lane that would require further parking restrictions.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No action at this time.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends no action at this time.
