PURPOSE:
Review parking restrictions for West Park Avenue between View Street and Blackhawk Lane, and several blocks to the east and west.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 109202 requesting more NO PARKING signage for the north side of West Park Avenue.
DISCUSSION:
West Park Avenue is commonly known to have parking allowed on most of the south side, but posted NO PARKING THIS SIDE on the north side between View Street and Blackhawk Lane, as well as several blocks to the east and west. The parking restrictions are posted on each block, although there is only one sign per block, each near the western end of the individual blocks near the STOP signs.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations will be required to install additional No Parking signs on south side of West Park from View Street to Blackhawk Lane.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends affirming no parking restrictions on south side of West Park from View Street to Blackhawk Lane and the addition of two 'No Parking this side' signs.
