SUBJECT:
A Resolution Authorizing the Execution of a Historic Preservation Grant Agreement with Mary Anne Cummings for the property at 169 S. Lincoln Avenue (Mary Anne Cummings- L15-01071/ AU27/1-15.289-HP/GR - JH - Ward 2.)

PURPOSE:
Attached is a resolution authorizing the execution of a Historic Preservation Grant Agreement with Mary Anne Cummings for the property at 169 S. Lincoln Avenue in the Near Eastside Historic District. Pursuant to the Agreement Mary Anne Cummings will receive a 40% reimbursement up to $12,200.00 toward the renovation of the building including painting the exterior of the home, front porch repairs, and replication of porch spindles. Funding for the reimbursement will come from the Capital Improvement Fund A)

BACKGROUND:
The Subject Property is located at 169 S. Lincoln Avenue and is currently utilized as a single-family residence with a R-3, One Family Dwelling zoning. The property is generally located on Lincoln Avenue between Clark Street and Avon Street. The property is owner-occupied with the current owner having owned it since 1995.

The details of the proposal include priming and painting the entire exterior of the home in the current color scheme, repairing the front porch, and replacing damaged porch rails and spindles with exact replicas. The project is underway but only some of the work has started. The replacement porch spindles have been carefully replicated to match the original.

The property is within the Near Eastside Historic District and the primary structure is of primary significance. The home was built c. 1895 and is in the Queen Anne Style.
