Happy Feet Walkers Club LLC is requesting permission to stage Happy Feet Healthy Heart 5K Walk in Phillips Park on Sunday, August 18, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:30 am.

PURPOSE:
Raise awareness for women's heart health and promote walking for health and wellness.
BACKGROUND:
This is a first time event and organizers are expecting 300 participants.
DISCUSSION:
The route being utilized is this pre-approved Phillips Park 5K route.
There will be several food and merchandise vendors set up in the areas designated by Parks staff.
Event Organizers are responsible for all costs associated with holding this proposed event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
City services will be needed from the Aurora Police Department Traffic Control Division and from Parks & Recreation for the use of the designated 5k route and trash bins.
Organizers will work with Parks staff on the logistics for the event.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review.
