A Parking Study for Village Green Drive between Village Green Court and Avondale Lane. Ward 8, Alderman Mervine

PURPOSE:
To improve parking and traffic flow across the roadway from McCarty Elementary School, on Village Green Drive between Village Green Court and Avondale Lane.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 114916 expressing concern that cars are parking on the south side of Village Green Drive between Village Green Court and Avondale Lane.
DISCUSSION:
This block is marked entirely with Yellow Curb, and is also marked with 6-inch white lines blocking the southern lane. There is one NO PARKING STANDING STOPPING sign blocked by tree limbs.
In addition, additional signage appear warranted.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations will be responsible for trimming the tree ranches and installation of additional signs..
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends trimming tree branches for higher visibility of existing parking signage and installation of two additional NO PARKING STANAING OR STOPPING signs.
