SUBJECT:
Requesting approval for the American Diabetes Association to have a Music Festival during their "Tour de Cure" event on Sunday, June 14, 2015, to be held at Two Brothers Roundhouse.
PURPOSE:
The American Diabetes Association is located at 55 E. Monroe Street, Chicago, IL. and will be holding their "Tour de Cure" Event on Sunday, June 14, 2015. As part of this festival, the American Diabetes Association would like to have live musical entertainment, which requires City Council approval prior to the issuance of a permit.
BACKGROUND:
This will be the second year for this event, which has attracted anywhere between 500 to 1,500 patrons in previous years. The event includes various vendors, and live music.
DISCUSSION:
The American Diabetes Association has been working with the City Clerk's Office to ensure that all required documentation are met prior to the event. The American Diabetes Association has also submitted an application for an assembly operational permit, and an inspection of the site will be conducted prior to the event.
