A Parking Study for Ashton Court. Ward 9, Alderman Bugg.
body
PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Ashton Court, to determine if a parking restriction is needed.
BACKGROUND:
Request from resident for no parking on Ashton Court, adjacent to the existing curve. Parked vehicles within the curve are making it difficult for traffic traveling through the curve.
DISCUSSION:
Ashton Court is classified as a residential roadway, 26 feet in width, with a 25 mph speed limit. Vehicles were observed parking in the street curve, along the south and west curb lines. A parking restriction within the curve would help visibility and traffic flow.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Street Departent resources.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends installing NO PARKING BETWEEN SIGNS along the south and west curb line of the Ashton Court curve.
