A Parking Study for Park Ridge Lane. Ward 10, Alderman Lofchie.
body
PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Park Ridge Lane, just west of Frontenac Street.
BACKGROUND:
Alderman received resident complaint regarding parked vehicles on the west leg of the intersection of Park Ridge Lane and Frontenac Street, making vehicle ingress & egress difficult for Diamond Bay residents.
DISCUSSION:
Park Ridge Lane is classified as a residential roadway, 30 feet in width, with a 25 mph speed limit. Vehicles were observed parking on Park Ridge Lane between St. Barthelemy Lane and Frontenac Street. This section of Park Ridge Lane is approximately 100 feet long with 3 driveways and a community mailbox along the north side, making vehicle travel difficult between intersections.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Street Department & APD resources.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends posting NO PARKING ANY TIME signage on both sides of Park Ridge Lane, between St. Barthelemy Lane and Frontenac Street, along with random, selective APD enforcement.
