DISCUSSION:
Development Proposal: The petitioner, Mitutoyo America Corp, is proposing a Final Plat Revision to consolidate the existing lots. The proposal consists of a Final Plat that will bring the Mitutoyo properties into conformance with the Subdivision Control Ordinance. Currently the building that is located on Parcel 2 does not have frontage on a publicly dedicated Right-of-Way. Because the lots have been under common ownership this has not been an issue for access issues. Because the petitioner is consolidating their operations into a single building located on the new Lot 1, there is the opportunity to sell Parcel 2. This re-plat of the parcels will make the sale of the property easier and clean up some compliance issues that existed for the existing building.
Evaluation: Staff has reviewed the Final Plat petition, submitted by the petitioner and have sent comments back to them on those submittals. The petitioner has made all the requested changes to these documents and they now meet all of the applicable codes and ordinances with the exception of the
Staff has reviewed the rezoning petition submitted by the petitioner as well as the public notice documents required and has found that the petition meets all of the applicable codes and ordinances.
This Final Plat will bring the properties into conformance with the Subdivision Control Ordinance and will help the existing buildings comply.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Planning and Zoning Division does not anticipate any impact to other City Department with the approval of this Petition.
