A resolution reappointing three members to the Aurora Planning Commission.
I am forwarding to you a resolution which would reappoint three members to the Aurora Planning Commission.
Reappoint to the Aurora Planning Commission:
William Bergeron, At-Large
Kenneth Cameron, At-Large
Rose Smilgys, School District 204

A Resolution Reappointing At-Large Members William Bergeron and Kenneth Cameron and School District 204 Representative Rose Smilgys to the Aurora Planning Commission.

WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has a population of more than 25,000 persons and is, therefore, a home rule unit under subsection (a) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS, subject to said Section, a home rule unit may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs for the protection of the public health, safety, morals, and welfare; and
WHEREAS, the terms of William Bergeron, Kenneth Cameron and Rose Smilgys have expired; and
WHEREAS, it is the Mayor's desire that the above At-Large representatives and the School District 204 representative be reappointed to said Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Aurora, Illinois, hereby approve the reappointments of William Bergeron, Aurora, IL, Kenneth Cameron, Aurora, IL and Rose Smilgys, Aurora, IL as members of the Aurora Planning Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms of William Bergeron and Kenneth Cameron shall expire December 31, 2016 and the term of Rose Smilgys shall expire December 31, 2014; however, in any event, the appointees shall serve until their respective replacements have been approved by the City Council.
