PURPOSE:
The Division of Street Maintenance identified additional roadways requiring pavement markings and is seeking authorization to spend additional funds for this work.
BACKGROUND:
In August 2016 the City Council previously approved the contracting of roadway pavement markings up to $75,000 with Superior Road Striping., 1980 N. Hawthorne Ave., Melrose Park, IL.

We will continue utilizing the contractor Superior Road Striping who was the successful bidder for the 2016 DuPage County Division of Transportation Pavement Marking Program.
Monies are available in account 340-4460-431-73.99 for this expenditure.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
By approving this expenditure, the City will be improving the visibility of pavement markings and safety of driving on Aurora roadways.).
RECOMMENDATIONS:
The City Council approve spending up to an additional $100,000 with Superior Road Striping, Inc. Melrose Park, IL for pavement markings for the Division of Street Maintenance.
