A Resolution approving supplement #1 for the professional services agreement for the Lake Street and River Street Two Way Conversion with HR Green Inc.
PURPOSE:
To obtain approval of a resolution for the supplement #1 for the professional services agreement for the Lake Street and River Street Two Way Conversion with HR Green Inc.
BACKGROUND:
The original Phase II contract was approved in October of 2014 for $179,606. This contract was based on assumptions of existing pavement cross section and a simple review process by IDOT staff based on initial review. During the review process several areas of sub-standard pavement and cross sections were identified which necessitated an expanded design effort.
DISCUSSION:
The attached supplement is inclusive of all expanded scope efforts.
The following funds will utilized:
2015 Lake/River Street Conversion 231.4460.431.79-55 $116,000.00

WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has a population of more than 25,000 persons and is, therefore, a home rule unit under subsection (a) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS, subject to said Section, a home rule unit may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs for the protection of the public health, safety, morals, and welfare; and
WHEREAS, if required your last whereas statement should reference the section of code that allows your action (i.e. pursuant to Aurora Code Section 2-335(a)(3) the desired product is provided by only one source in this situation; and) )
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Aurora, Illinois, as follows: The supplement #1 for the professional services agreement for the Lake Street and River Street Two Way Conversion with HR Green Inc. is hereby approved.
