PURPOSE:

To obtain the City Council's approval of a proposed amendment to the 2026 Ward 6 budget

BACKGROUND:

DISCUSSION:

The budget amendment will be funded from the Ward 6 fund balance. A total of $25,000 will be allocated to account 316-1350-419.50-50, which is designated for grants and donations. Up to $20,000 of the additional funds shall be used to reimburse the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry for capital improvements on the condition that the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry provide receipts or proof of payment before reimbursements are issued. The remaining $5,000 will remain in account 316-1350-419.50-50 to cover additional donations and grants for the rest of the year.

IMPACT STATEMENT:

Supporting the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry is crucial for their ongoing mission to serve families in Aurora.
